We are extremely proud to announce that SRL has achieved a significant safety milestone – recording our first Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) of zero over a 12-month rolling period.
This is a significant milestone for us, especially in an industry where LTIFR rates typically fall between 0.20 and 0.40 per 100,000 hours worked – equating to one lost-time injury every 250,000 to 500,000 hours. This superb achievement not only places us ahead of industry benchmarks, also reinforces our vision: Safer roads and lower-carbon communities through smarter temporary traffic systems. And to deliver our mission: Set the standard in temporary traffic systems with connected equipment and a customer-first experience.
How have SRL been strengthening its safety culture?
This reflects the collective commitment to safety shown by everyone across the business. From following safe working practices to reporting near misses and sharing safety observations, these everyday actions help us identify risks earlier, improve how we work and ultimately keep one another safe.
Our dedicated SHEQ team also plays a vital role in strengthening our working practices, providing effective leadership and consistent support to colleagues across the UK and Ireland to embed safer ways of working into their roles every day.
Together, these measures have contributed to a more open reporting culture and improved risk visibility across our depots and field operations.
